Upload customers on a custom template

Use a custom template to prepare, upload, and submit new customer data.

Upload and submit new customer information using a custom template. You’ll need to complete the template with the required customer details, upload the file, and ensure it passes validation before it can be successfully submitted.

📌Note: The system validates files differently depending on their size. Smaller files are validated immediately, while larger files are processed in the background to ensure accuracy and performance.

For larger files, a progress bar is shown so you can monitor validation in real time. You’ll also see a message confirming you can leave the page while validation continues. However, please note the warning: 'At this stage, your file has not been submitted yet.'


Upload customers on a custom template

  1. Click the Direct Debits tab on the left hand side.

  2. Click the File Upload tab.

  3. Select Manage Templates on the right hand side.

  4. From the template list, select the custom template you have created.

  5. Click the Download icon and fill in the spreadsheet with your customers details.

  6. Save the file in CSV or XLSX format.

  7. Select the checkbox next to the template you want to use.

  8. Click Upload with Selected to upload your completed file.

  9. Under Template, ensure your custom template is selected.

  10. Select Click to upload or drag and drop to upload your saved file.

  11. Click Upload File.

  12. Once the file validates successfully, click Submit this file.

If any validation errors occur while uploading your file, you’ll need to correct the errors before continuing.
