When exporting reports to Excel, sort codes can sometimes appear as dates.
There’s no way to prevent this at download, but you can fix it using these steps:
Download the CSV file from eDD and save it without opening.
Open Notepad, go to File, Open, then find and open your CSV file.
Save the file in Notepad.
Open a blank Excel workbook.
Go to the Data tab and select From Text.
Select the Notepad file.
In the Text Import Wizard, choose Delimited, then click Next.
Select Comma, then click Next.
Highlight the sort code and account number columns and set the format to Text.
Click Finish.
This keeps the sort code format and preserves any leading zeros.
