As part of the check out process, the customer will enter their details like Name, Email Address, Amount to be paid etc. These fields will be populated as requested by the merchant.
Here is a customer's journey to pay via a bank account:
Click Pay Now.
Select the Open Banking icon.
Click Pay by Bank Account.
Using the search bar, type the bank name.
Select the Bank Logo.
Choose a way to sign in:
Handoff (Web to App) - This is QR code to scan to another device
Redirect - to Online Banking
Click Continue to confirm the payment.
Log in to your online banking website/app.
Choose the account the money should be deducted from, on the online banking page.
Click Confirm to transfer the money.
đNote: The Bank logos and names provided in Opening Banking are your high street banks and building societies such as Lloyds, Nationwide, Santander, etc.
The next page will confirm that the payment is on it's way.
The check out page should change to a confirmation page with details of an authorized payment.
When a customer has paid the merchant, the merchant can check the transaction in the portal.
Once logged in:
Click on Pay by Bank.
Scroll to the Payment Transactions table.
Scroll to the bottom of the table and click
for the next page.Alternatively, use the drop-down for a bigger selection.
Select the Transaction ID reference to open up the details page.
